Welcome to The Car Store! We’re a local, family-owned company, and we've been fulfilling our mission in central Iowa for over 20 years. We've been in our current location in Adel since 2006! Call or stop by and you'll meet me (Angella), my dad Ron, our 2 shop cats, and/or possibly my sons (we're 3 generations on Saturdays and school breaks). We also employ several customer support professionals and auto repair technicians who have become like family over the years.

We specialize in pre-owned cars, trucks, vans and SUVs around $20,000 and less. Our FIRST MISSION is to offer vehicles that have been mechanically inspected, repaired as needed, are clean inside and out, and that are fairly and competitively priced.

We are confident in our vehicles' reliability and we prove it by including a limited warranty on almost all vehicles (see individual vehicle notes and contact us for complete warranty information).

We operate an on-site, full-service repair shop to service what we sell. Our repair shop is also happy to serve others in the Adel community and works on most all makes and models.

We work with several credit unions and finance companies to help you arrange financing for your vehicle purchase if needed (with approved credit). Trade-ins are welcome.

We want your experience to be hassle-free. We don't play a big game with our pricing, and everyone on our team strives to provide a zero-pressure atmosphere. We don't exist to "sell" you a vehicle. Our SECOND MISSION is to guide you through the process of selecting and purchasing your vehicle and see you off to a good start! We would love to help you with all your automotive needs!
